Prototyping is the process of creating a preliminary model or design of a mobile or web-based application. This model is used to visualize and test the basic functions, design and user experience of the app before it is fully developed. I create my prototypes with Figma.
Design systems are the basis for prototyping. They ensure that all elements in a prototype are consistent. Additionally, prototypes can be created more quickly by using pre-built components that can be reused. Therefore it is always a good idea to first think about how you want to design the application and put together such a system. You can see an example of this here.
This poster shows the structure of an operating system that I designed. It was important to break away from the familiar desk view and use a different everyday environment as inspiration. You can test the system on Figma by scanning the QR code.
The Application for designing your own hobbyhorse.
For this application, I focused primarily on the target group of children. It should be easy to understand and use, which is why I have included lots of arrows and explanatory texts. This simplicity is also supported by visual elements, some of which are animated. These illustrate the action that is to be carried out or is already being carried out. I created the entire application and animations with Figma. You can test the prototype yourself by scanning the QR code.
