This project is an app designed to help people with their physiotherapy in a playful way.
We developed it in a student group of three people.
The app is linked to a ball with which the user has to steer the cat Mau through a maze.
You can see an example of how this is done in the video below.
The focus of this work was on the user experience.
In the process, I learnt a lot about coherent and comprehensible design.
We had to fully empathise with the users of our app in order to adapt it to them as well as possible.
The following videos show the intro pages and the registration process for the app. The intro explains all the options available to the user with the app. The user can then log in or register.
Here is an overview of the app with all its features.
The user's pain level is queried daily in order to determine improvements or deteriorations.
On the home page, the user is greeted by Mau and the game can be started.
The ‘Knots’ page shows a monthly overview that can also be shared with the responsible physiotherapist, for example.
The user can also adjust the pain level.
Finally, we have the profile page, which gives the user an overview of their data and the option to change it.
We had the chance to exhibit our project at the European Media Art Festival 2025 in Osnabrück.
Together with other Ballistic projects, we were able to fill a room with our interactive balls and the corresponding apps.
It was a great experience to present and explain our project to other people in person.
